Privacy policy
Effective date: 31 October 2026
Varana Tech makes software for outpatient clinics and sends appointment messages for them. This policy explains what we do with patient data. It is written in plain English.
Who we are
Varana Tech is a sole proprietorship run by Pranav Raaghav, at HSR Layout, Bengaluru 560102, Karnataka, India. You can reach us at hello@varanatech.com.
What data we handle
- Patient name and phone number.
- Appointment details, such as the clinic, doctor, date and time.
- Other patient records that a clinic chooses to keep in our software.
Why we use it
We process this data only on behalf of the clinics that use our software. We use it to run their appointments and to send appointment messages, such as booking confirmations, reminders and reschedule notices. The clinic decides what data it keeps and which messages it sends.
We do not sell patient data. We do not use it for marketing or advertising, and we do not send promotional messages.
Who else handles it
- WhatsApp messages go through Meta's WhatsApp Business Platform, via MSG91.
- SMS messages go through DLT-registered Indian telecom routes.
- Data is stored with cloud hosting providers.
These providers get only the data they need to deliver a message or store the records.
Your choices
If you are a patient, you can ask your clinic, or write to hello@varanatech.com, to:
- see the data held about you,
- correct it, or
- stop appointment messages to your number.
Because we act for the clinic, we may pass your request to the clinic and act on its instructions.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update this page and its effective date.
